CC111 Christmas 1993 Special Issue

The special figure for Christmas consists of two camels carrying a wounded officer in a bed supported by two telegraph poles slung between the camels.
To keep the worst of the desert sun off his head, the medical orderlies have arranged a sunshade.
The group is led by a native complete with fly whisk.

The arrangement shown is not as fanciful as it seems - a similar, though more professionally made, arrangement is illustrated in the RAMC training manual of 1911
